tdod101
Can't seem to get the key to stay in the slot on the crank when I goto put the fly wheel on. Any tips guys ?
locogato11283
That key looks all fucked up. Do you have a new one?
n2otoofast4u
Take a center punch and give it one center punch dimple on the side of the key where it sits in the crank. It will make a very slight raised spot on the key. Tap it into crank slot, install flywheel, happy happy Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
hoppedupandcutdown
Slot in crank straight up Key should parallel to the floor Make sure the key slides freely in the slot on the flywheel before install (slot free of crap) If the key is sloppy in the crank, get a new one Wouldn't think a drop of gasket sealer under it would hurt anything though Always lap in the tapered surfaces, too
tdod101
Doesn't seem to go past this point, key is brand new
hoppedupandcutdown
Looks right, does it slide easily in the flywheel off the bike? Maybe file those 4 burrs. Definitely lap in that raggedy shaft.

trickedcarbine
Lap crank/flywheel, file burrs on keyway, install tip of key on slight angle.
