Anyone running a steel clutch basket?

Recommended Posts

Zilla I'm done arguing with you. Have you seen my clutch basket??? My basket wasn't machined by the same person or even out of the same material. Every clutch kit I've seen had steel plates and fibers, regardless most clutch kits have steel plates.

The additional rotating mass can be eliminated by removing a small amount of weight from the flywheel. So we're talking about adding a additional 1.2lbs to over all weight of the quad, and I would think that additional pound would be a good trade for a indestructible clutch basket that you'll never have to worry about grooving or breaking.

I'm not trying to sell you or anybody else a steel basket. I have one and I like it but I don't get a dime when he sells one so what is it to me? Lets see what Tim says in his product review.

Oh, and Tyler as far as me threatening you and talking about fighting, that's a flat out lie! The member of the BHQ FB Group that threatened to "box your ears" if he ever saw you in person is still a member of the Facebook Group. I never made any type of physical threat to or about you or anybody else.

Maybe not but you do have some weird obsession with him being that you can't keep his name out of your mouth.

I accept your challenge. Be there this year .

I'll pay 50.00 towards your gas just to sand blast your raggedy-ass bike.

Lane at Driveline clutch turned me on to a shop (A&S racing) that machines your stock inner and PP quite reasonably.  Says they hold up in big motors just fine.

I am not the first to come up with it, its been done for years but no one gives out details and its possible everyone does it a little different.

I looked at my stock inner hub and I didn't think there was enough material to machine out for the extra plate so I bought Hinson's 8-Plate Billet Inner Hub, Hard Anodized Backing Plate, and a set of UPP Cushions. So far I've had good luck out of everything.

I'm having a Billet 2nd Gear Kit installed, under cutting 3-6, and having the Shift Drum Bearing Mod done while I'm building having the new motor built. The last thing I want to do is get into shifting issues again.

Who do I have a weird obsession with Nightmare350? My name was thrown around a lot before I even commented on the thread. I don't want to start shit with any of you and I haven't posted anything for almost a year, but I can only stand by and not reply or defend myself for so long when I'm being called names, made fun of, and bashed.

If my name was left out this I wouldn't have replied to this thread. If the people that are running me down and talking about me will stop I'll delete my BHQ account. You guys don't know how many times I've wished I had never joined in first place.
