Pastrykiller
My experience...bad cdi caused me to chase jetting issues. Sputtered on topend and then one day after I parked it to smoke a cig, I started it back up on the first kick and it would run past any throttle position other than 1/8th. Sputtered like it had dropped a needle or firing on a bad cylinder. It never went backwards but it sure in the hell didn't like to go forward. Moral of the story is that a cdi will do all kinds of funky shit. Even when they are shot, it will run and some will not. Pastrykiller
Edit... It would not run past 1/8th throttle. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

RollinRhino
A friend of mine had a Maico that did that. Turned out the timing was messed up from the flywheel.

trickedcarbine
Hey, cool! My blaster is so fucked up that it goes backward. Watch how fun it is to go in reverse till I kill it.
Pastrykiller
Wired an exciter coil backwards on my old polaris 400 scrambler. Forward was reverse and reverse forward. Took out the garage door when it fired up. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
ksw390
Ok finally got enough time to tear the bike apart it did break the gear on the clutch basket and broke a tooth off the idler gear parts replaced. Onto the flywheel side. Pulled the cover pulled the flyer wheel all looks good so no I'm stumped back to thinking cdi even thow I agree with facts that widycityjohn400 put out.
