Banman1122
When I turn my bars to the right it dies. I narrowed it to the key switch. I unplug the switch and turn it any way jump up and down ride with no issues. Weird must be a short in it I guess. So I'm gunna get rid of it and use a tether for drag reasons too. Do I wana wire my tether to the key switch plug or do one wire on the orange on the coil and one wire to the frame? Starwriter
Something fishy there. Unplugging the key switch should make it not start. The key switch contacts are closed in the run position. What color are the wires on the connector you unplugged?
Banman1122
Red and black. I unplugged it and ran a jumper wire. I forgot to say that. My bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Starwriter
Oh, OK, that makes sense now. So you don't have a short. You have a key switch circuit that is going open when you turn the bars. Wire broken internally or at the solder connection on the switch. Ohm meter and wiggle wires if you want to find it. The best place to wire a tether is to the black/white kill switch wire.
