My banshee won't start

Recommended Posts

I just fully rebuilt my 1990 banshee new wiseco crank .30 over wiseco pistons an jugs . I did the +4 timing took off the 2 into 1 system an got 2 stockers with no air box an uni filter . I have spark doesn't look the strongest but there's spark it's getting fuel but my wire harness has been hacked wondering if I should take off all the tape an go over everything ? Anyone have a wire diagram ? Any help/advice would be much appreciated .

Any idea's as to why it won't start ?? I think I need a new O-ring seal on the rad fluid tube that comes from the top of the case an runs into the clutch side cover. If that had a leak would it get into the cylinders an prevent from starting ? Please any help or ideas ide be very gratefull

I need an experienced builder to chime in and help me... Can't wait to hear it , I bought it in a box an there was cobwebs all over it so I'm guessing it's been years since it's been started .. Is there anyway the +4 timing is keeping it from starting ? As I said I can see spark an it's getting fuel

TORS deleted? Or at least unplug "brain box". With slide idle screws backed out, I use my fingers to "feel" that slides rise at same time.

Hard/no start could be bad reeds, dirty/plugged carbs, float height, fouled plugs, bad plug caps, weak coil. Because of the "wasted" spark, it's hard to tell if it as good spark on both sides.

I suggest cleaning poles on stator, inside of flywheel, and timing nubs on flywheel, then setting pick-up gap with feeler gage. Fuck that business card bull fucking shit.

Use drill bits to sync the carbs. Slide a bit along the bottom of the runner and under your slide. Find a drill bit that fits under one slide. Take the bit and slide it under the other carbs slide and adjust your cable above the cap top sync your slides.

Try squirting a small amount of starting fluid into the carbs and see if it will start. Then that will tell you if it's fuel or spark
