RKJLOW
I was assembling my clutch and noticed that the bushings in the clutch basket where shot so i bought a new billet one. I assembled it now i get no play from the gear but prolly a 1/4 inch of play top to bottom like you would check a wheel bearing. Is my bronze bushing toast or do i actually need a new Gear with the bushing (the one that attaches to the basket) keep running into problems i want to go ride! trickedcarbine
Definitely try a new bushing. There are needle roller replacements out there but beware which of those you are willing to try. I found a transmission parts supplier and told the guy my inner and outer dimensions and he sent me a really nice needle roller.
2004LEBanshee
Redline sells a kicker gear with a new bushing for like 90. About the only one i know of who sells it that way. Id go that route and avoid the needle bushing. Other option is to buy a used stock basket and press it out and swapem
