Will pro design cool head work with stock cylinder jugs?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm new to this site. I need some help. Just bought 97 banshee. It came with a Vitos 404cc kit, pro design cool head (unknown domes) hot rod stock size crank. It needs top end redone, but the guy gave me a set of stock cylinder jugs .20 over with Trinity MX pro port job. Since these jugs are ready to put pistons in them, don't need bore, I'm thinking of installing these instead of boring out the big bore jugs. My question is, will the cool head fit the stock ported jugs or not? It was installed with the big bore like i mebtioned. Thanks in advance.

Also what do u all recommend. Keep the big bore or put on the ported stock ones?

If it was me, I would throw the ported ones on, get the proper domes for cheap. Bolt it all up and forgetaboutit.

What's the rest of your setup? Pipes, timing, carbs ect...

Value of Trinity MX pro porting on a set of stock cylinders = Willing to GIVE them away.  :rotflmao:

Thanks to everyone for the help. As for the domes, do u think 19cc domes will be OK without having to run race gas. I'm around 3800 above (sorry wrong elevation in earlier post). According to the compression chart, 19cc @3000 ft will give about 158 psi and @ 4000 ft 152 psi. That means I should be somewhere in between this range and be safe with pump gas correct?
