WINDYCITYJOHN400
My friend had a 73hp bike with NO intake work. What?!?!
tfaith08
Looks someone wanted to start on porting but got lazy and ground the paint off. Does the other cylinder look the same?
tdod101
Didn't bother taking the other reed off, once I figured out why it wouldn't start I put it back together and gave it a few kicks and it fired right up, had no spark wires cut and pilot jet was clogged, cleaned carbs good to go...for now, ran out of time today but I got it running so, fairly productive either way. Still trying to sell my boost bottle. Price reduction: $500 shipped!

tfaith08
I bet you can convince some guy with a Raptor to buy your boost bottle. "Bro, can you imagine a Raptor with a Banshee boost bottle?! Yeah, it's kind of like NOS."

tdod101
Yup, all done. Took it for a first gear rip in the back yard, seems fine so far, will have to wait to see how it really goes when I get some free time. Ordered a bunch of parts from FAST as well. Gonna keep this bike somewhat stock so the GF can learn to ride. Stock pipes and silencers, air box with k&n filter plus lid and snorkel, vforce 2 reeds (apparently) and cool head. Jetting looks okay as well, might start a thread for that though. Main is 260 pilot is 25 a/s 1 1/2 turns out, needle middle clip. Elevation 1000 ft Who can tell me more info about the cool head, I don't know much about it, is it just a high flow coolant mod or is it custom dome type thing that needs to be run with race gas or something ? I mix all my machines the same way, 40:1 amsoil with premium shell gas
tdod101
Okay, well I'll have to tear it apart to find out what it's got for a crank i guess, all I wanted to do today was get it running, mission accomplished.
