BB-banshee171
What are ya'lls opinions on this? I've got a 465 which is a 68 bore 10 mil stroke. I race some of the psda races and their cc classes go from 0-425 and 0-525 and so on. A 65 bore 10 mil is a 425. Was wondering how would it run compared to my 68? WINDYCITYJOHN400
72 bore is a 521. Just saying. Maybe you step you instead of down?
BB-banshee171
Haven't seen many 521's that run good numbers. My 465 outruns them 90 % of the time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
J-Madd
I have a 514 cc purposely build for that class. It will run low 3.6s when I get it lined out. I see no reason to settle for a 465 cc when the class allows 525 cc. That being said, I think the 10 Mil 425 cc motor would be good as well. Especially since Jason Menz has pretty much retired his 421 cc.
BB-banshee171
I don't think anyone will ever break that record, that's hauling for a 421. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
camatv
why is the class cut off at 525?? i always wonder'd who came up with these cc limits. there are a lot of 535's out there.
J-Madd
I don't know. 525 is not a common build. Neither is 650 cc, 900 cc.
trickedcarbine
I've only recently ventured in to the 10 mil stuff and love the massive torque it provides. But they definitely don't rev the same. However with some itty bitty ol' 65mm pistons, It would have to help that situation. Also, to boot, that motor will more then likely be next to a 58x68 cub. Even with a bit lamer RT you could probably make up with the torque and still get that thing revved up to charge on the big end. Totally an experiment worth trying out.
