postman26
What do you all think about a cub in the trails. Do you think it's a overkill because I'm going to do 40% trail riding and 60% racing with it. I had a 4 mil stock cylinder with a drag port in the trail but I want more power now. RadarRacing
You need two different bikes. Lol. I rode my old SS cub in dunes , trails, mx , rodeos. If you have a drag port by a great builder and not a 62hp drag port then you have 98% of a cub. The very best stock cyls are very close to a cub , but those are the top 1% of the drag ported stockers. Most (99%) are just run of the mill, pretty good running bikes that can whoop 450s. 4 mil cubs out of the box are better than most ported stock cyls , lowend , topend , basically everywhere. jayhawkatv
Ya the green frame with white plastic said"blacksheep" was a 10 mil cub and we had some close races same with the yellow 4 mil dm. But I got the best of them.
trickedcarbine
Depends on your definition of trails, if you never make it out of 4th then probably not. But if you can get it wicked up and wide open, a cub us fine. May have to touch the clutch every now and again. It just takes a lot more rider to get it to stay revved up.
