Cotton eyed Joe
I used to make billet aluminum rims for the T-Maxx in 2000 and 2001. My distributer thought it was a better idea to take my designs and have them made in Tawian. Now everybody is doing it and I'm out of the market because I can't compete with some of the high end mills and cheap labor. I sold $30,000 worth of rims my first year, and then sold about $35,000 worth in the 2 months after christmas when my rims were on the editors of RC Car Action T-Maxx trucks, and on a center fold story. The thing that pisses me off, is I was getting $80 per set of 4 from my distributor, and people in the hobby shops were paying $225 per set of 4. If I could have just sold them myself that would have been nearly $200,000 Oh well. Just thought I'd share a story from the good old days. Banshee crazy kid
Well to buy the new honda i needed cash so i took my cars and trucks to a local rc track to sell Exept for my t3 my t3 is being totallly rebuilt to beat those new rc1ot4's anyway u wont beleive how much i got in totall! $2,800!! i sold my maxx aluminum for 1,000 and my old stock one for 200 I sold all my cars in 4 days with the exeptoin of my t3. I ll have that new honda pretty soon,as soon as it is released....Does any have an rc10t3? got pix? i just bought a team orion 15x2 havok motor with a novak rooster esc, I sold the novak personally i think that it's crap. Phast
I've got a stamped and a rustler with lots of cash involed!!!!Man, parts get pricey when you keep crashing it at 30mph
2stroker
Still have my old Losi JRXT I bought new back in 89. It can keep up with all the newer electric trucks at the track. I sold my RC10GT several months ago with the intention of buying a T-Maxx. Still looking for ways to fit it into the budget. However, over the last several weeks, I've been thinking about buying a road car instead. In particular, the Traxxas Tech-4 (60+ MPH stock) or the Schumacher Fusion (70+ MPH stock, 80+ MPH with a different spur gear).

Wallrat
I've got a nitro rustler. IMO if you want 4 wheel drive or reverse, get the tmaxx. If not, get the rustler. Although I will say that there are more parts for the maxx but the rustler is faster out of the box. Plus it jumps WAY better. My buddy's got the 2.5 tmaxx and i've got the 2.5 rustler. He's got a bunch of hop ups and mine just has a stinger exhaust and different tires. I kill him on every type of terrain except for climbing steep loose hills where I can't get any speed before hitting the hill (my tires just dig). Whenever I drive his it feels like a total boat. That thing is friggin heavy and clumsy. I've taken mine to the dunes and I easily catch more air with that thing then I do on my shee. I think the rustler goes for $260 or something so its cheaper than the maxx too.
Wheatchex
Seems as though RC is a common thing amoungst a lot of us. Myself included as I have quite a few RC vehicles. Planes, cars and a boat. Car wise, mine are pretty old except for the Kyosho Mini-Z and Radioshack zip-zap. Just don't have the time and places to run them. Finding a field large enough for my planes is also a problem as well. Wheatchex
fixitrod
Does anyone have a link to that video of the rc that jumped that garage. Also, someone had some video of one jumping in a paking lot or playground.
