blowit
Considering business cards could be any thickness, why not do it like a white boy and use a feeler gage? .018 LOL
joe schmo
I used .018 feeler gauge on the side with the line, the other one has a little more of a gap..
joe schmo
Like I said I'm new to the site and banshees...can anyone think about something to do? I did every thing I can think(first post has the most things I tried),good leak down test...I'm totally lost!!
Larry's Shee
Either set the gap to the shortest nub, or if other gets to close split the difference
trickedcarbine
File the taller nub down so that it strikes evenly on both. Other concern, the compression you got off the gauge was 150psi on each? You didn't mention port work, but Is there head work on it? What type of fuel are you using? If the head is cut, you may be suffering a bit of deto.....
clrkaw26
I was having a problem similar and forgot to reinstall the choke tube.
joe schmo
Good Idea,I will file it down thanks. 150psi each from what I think is Stock pistons-bore,no porting, stock head and 32.1 premium fuel. thanks.

clrkaw26
Is the choke tube on? Its the tube that runs from the side of one carb to the side of the other, not the fuel line, the tube basically comes out on the opposite side of where the choke plunger is. Deadbeat
150 psi sounds pretty high for a stock freshen up, pull the head
