paisaroni_mario Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Hey banshee hq just got a quick question. If I'm running stock pistons and stock crank can I throw on a noss head with size 20cc domes? And if i can will that make a difference in performance. Any good answers will be appreciated! Bennett131 Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 you will gain bottom end but check your elevation first may need to run race fuel or go bigger. Quote
paisaroni_mario Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 I have a milled stock head on it right now, and I'm running on race fuel.. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk Quote
Bennett131 Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 those are details you really cant keep out that being said nobody can really answer your question without know elevation and how much compression you have now Quote
do-work-son Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Yes you can ( make sure they are not 4 mil domes) but doubt there is much noticeable gain from it! Looks cool and if ya ever wanna do 4 mil it's one less thing to buy. Quote
paisaroni_mario Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 I believe it's 7 meters above sea level.. I ride baja down in Sonora Thanks do work! Still debating whether I throw it on or not.. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk Quote
Nightmare Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 You can but you'll need race gas and like said above have the crank welded when upping compression. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk Quote
gonzodesign Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 how much compression do you have now? I would suggest getting a good compression gauge before just throwing on a supposed 20cc dome, if you get the Noss head measure the width of the squish band first, then measure the squish clearance, then measure compression, 155 lbs is about the end of premium fuel, 165 mix of race fuel and premium, and if its me go no higher than 160, if you don't want to bother doing those 3 things you are at someone else's mercy, if you do those 3 and understand what they do you will know exactly what your motors doing not guessing 1 Quote

registered user Posted April 24, 2014 Report Posted April 24, 2014 what if its been ported with head work and 120psi then what gas should it use or does it only matter what the gauge says ? Quote
