kedge82 Posted March 23, 2014 Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 ok so i just bought some hinson clutches but it dosent come with the gear on the back. what gear is neesded for these if not oem and how are they installed. hte oem clutches look as if the gear is on studs, or something simalar they dont lok removeable. so my question what gear do i nessd to buy and how is it applied to htese clutches thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
uman1030 Posted March 23, 2014 Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 May have to grind off the rivets on your oem basket and remove gear to use it with new basket. Then install oem gear on new basket with new cushions/hardware, sometimes you use your old backing plate other models use their own backing plate. sheerider11 Posted March 23, 2014 Report Share Posted March 23, 2014 Do your self the favor now and ditch the Hinson plate and bushings. I ordered a plate and bushings and bolts from cam at redline. The Hinson bushings are to soft and they expand and press against the backing plate. This bends them.
