christy
I recently bought a 1997 Banshee with no TORS and no parking brake. Problem is the bike always seems to run as if the parking brake is still on. It bogs out at a higher rpm, just like when you forget to release the parking brake and try and run a banshee. Choke is in good working condition and the bike starts with one kick. The green/yellow wire from the cdi box is disconnected (actually it's cut and tapped) but I have another 1997 banshee that runs fine and I switched the cdi box to see if that was the problem and it still ran as if the parking brake was on. Looking for any ideas of what it could be. Must be one dumb thing I'm missing. Thanks for any help. Christy
Larry's Shee
Have you tried a different stator? Hows flywheel? Pick-up gap? Plug chop- plug read? Have you searched to ensure P brake is properly disabled?
03DMshee
I would also look into removing the harness and going through it...some people just snip it as far as they can and dont realize it can still short out especially if water is introduced
christy
P brake harness is removed. I'll look into the stator, flywheel and pick up gap.
christy
Not much of a knowledgable person on stators but this looks bad, right? Christy
