scat track extreme haulers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the 20 10 10 9 paddles tires but would rather have the 22 9 8 9 paddle ones because it looks way better and it makes you go up the hill better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw v-blades they feel funny and slide all over the place while you are going up a hill at an angle. Dont feel right at all.

the V-shaped helps you to slide around easier, i would recomend them for duning and the straight ones for strictly drag. Both will work for both instances it just depends where you want the emphesis. I love my V-paddle Skate II's and I could not imagine switching to straight paddles unless I only wanted to drag race.

I just ride teh imperial sand dunes though so its probably a little different there.

Man,...seriously....save yourself 100 & get some King's Paddle Tires--8 paddle 'turbo paddle'. I picked some up at LS for $168,...the extremes were $268. They're built a lot better(paddles are molded along with the tire & not glued on like the skats) Also they wear good, look great, and hook up awesome. I still have some 9 paddle haulers for my other shee, they're good & have lasted....but for the money, I'd highly recommend those turbo paddles....here's a comparrison shot between the 8paddle turbos(on my black shee) and the 9paddle haulers(on the yellow shee)

Let me know when you're coming down to LS,...I'll see if I can make it. ;)

I've only own straight paddles... but my friend has owned both V's and straights, and he rides a raptor. Now i'm light compared to him, and the raptor is a bit tipsy for me at the dunes, but i had no problem throwing the ass end around with the straights, but the difference in traction was night and day. He ran sand skate II's and is currently running sand devils... and he said he's never going back to a V blade design. I run paddlemasters on my shee and can turn with ease. Granted they're a straigh paddle, but they have a 'separated' paddle on every other paddle, so they supposedly turn a bit easier than an all out straight paddle tire.

My advice... if you're riding with a group who has a set of V's and straights... try them out for yourself, then buy a set of tires at little sahara, they're usually cheaper and you may get lucky and find a used set that's in good condition for a steal.

Thanks for the replies guys. It sounds like most of you are leaning toward the straight paddles. I'm thinking about Sand Devils on .190 Douglas 20x10x8. I can get that setup from Rocky Mt. ATV for $130 plus shipping. I'm not looking to spend much because most of my riding is MX. I don't want just total crap though because they will get some use other than Little Sahara, I live close to some great sand pits here in west Tennessee so they will see some limited action there as well.

Again Thanks
