SAVAGE420
So I was talking in the shout box awhile ago. Talking about a bearing replacement for the upper stem mount where there is a shit oem bushings . I can't remember who said that they know of a company that makes a aftermarket clamp and bearing to replace the stock junk. My bushing and clamp are worn out, so I want to stick a bearing there with my new LSR stem. Nutwood, was it you I was taking to about it? WINDYCITYJOHN400
I remember seeing somebody who made a replacement unit that was still a two piece bushing like the factory unit, but it had a grease zerk on it and an internal groove to feed the grease all the way around the stem........ Don't recall who made it......
Coupelx
Grease is a terrible idea for that area. It would be a mess. find a TFE ring from a hydraulic cylinder or similar piece of slick self lubing plastic, clamp stem bracket in 4jaw chuck and bore a groove to fit. I cut an exhaust oring to fit in mine and its better but still needs help.
