CALVIN TOLD ME HIMSELF that the cheetah cylinder was obsolete. Told me a Super Serval would make more torque and HP.

Well how much a 10mil cheetah on gas and a 10mil super serval makes on gas? Id like to see a chart to see the curves too.

Well already showed one graph have two more to go. But I am waiting to see all these smaller cc motors on gas making more power.

My mistake. i read his post then made my post. I didnt finish the thread yet. Now we need to see a super serval on gas. Any builders do those ported?

edit* You also keep saying show me something 120 or over. Wouldnt it be better to have a better power curve over peak dyno numbes which you are referring too?

my favorite motor was my 465 serval

I'm looking at my banshee engine size chart. That's a 14mil with a 68mm bore? Sounds like one hell of a broad TQ fun bike.

So were is this Smaller CC Cub on Gas making more then my cheetah on Gas John?.. U post 120hp Cub John I will post my new dyno we are doing today on Q16.

Mike....we've been over this before.

YOU HAVE A STRONG MOTOR!

YES 120 IS A FUCK TON OF POWER

But well built cubs make more power per cc.

Show you a 120hp cub? Well your motor is 535. Most cubs are 421 or 465.

Talk to Mat and he'll tell you a 465 cub can hit 110 on gas no problem. Call Cameron and he'll tell you he's built 3 that hit 111-112.

A 465 that makes 110 is making .236 hp per CC

A 535 that makes 120 is making .224 hp per CC

IF YOUR CHEETAH WAS AS EFFICIENT AT MAKING POWER AS A CUB....535 x .236 = 126 hp

So i'm not saying smaller cubs make 120.

I'm saying the cub design with SMALLER intakes, pistons, reeds, etc....is a better design because it makes more HP per CC.

Your talking a top number....but that's Apples vs. Oranges if you don't convert to hp per cc.

I'm talking about a motor design and it's efficiency. I'm talking Cub vs. Cheetah

hell

figure the hp to cc of the larger motors  its really disapointing..i mean really  an what 650-800cc making 160hp  and needing a huge shot of nos....?  but noone looks at tq curve or the hp curve at lower rpm'S like they should  that damn cheeto is making a lot of hp down low in the rpm range...

most "super" cubs are in the 71-72mm bore range.. so a 521ish to a 535...  plus if someone would figure out ( and maybe someone did he he.....) that the stud strength is pretty weak and with better studs on the case and head that you can run more timing and create more internal pressure without blowing gaskets and parts off ....  its a lot easier on a cheeta to do this..   plus IF your running pv's the higher internal pressures are'nt as likely to have a problem..   a pv will cause a higher compression ratio than a fixed port.  but loosens up at higher rpms'  just a thought..

can't wait to see the q16..

and just my opinion  the fastest bike i have seen ( besides redlines triple) was a 16 mill 75 bore cheeta.. if i was ever to do a billet case motor  thats what i would build..  ( the 14's and 12's are pretty brutal too)  hell maybe even a 10mil/75 bore..

Cam you took the words right of my mouth on the bigger cc motors. John your words not mine. "10milmike has a STRONG running Cheetah now.....but there are smaller cc cubs making more power" Ok Show me one. " Talk to mat and he will tell you a 465 cub on gas can hit 110 on gas no problem". Still no 120 John. So were is this smaller cc making more power in your words not mine.
