So ive got these 3 carbs. all are 40mm. Carb A and B came off of a bike i bought. Carb C came off my blaster. Carb A someone decided to put a bigger screw in the top and cracked the corner off, and then JB welded it back on. So i thought ide just use carb C in its place, but the power jet is different. I was going to split the carb in half and swap them but the side thats broken on carb A is the power jet side, so that wont do any good. Any ideas? Is there someone that can change the power jet? Packard maybe?

Power jet on c is a packard style and works good. you can remove the barb fittings and unthread the pj from the carb, then use a soldering torch to melt the solder holding the tube to the clippard body. your straight style would screw right in. just make sure the tubes are exposed at the same throttle position when your finished. its really pretty simple

the packard's i have seen are usually rethreaded  pj to fit.  clippard makes 2 differnt control jets. one has a 1/4 pipe thread  other is like a 10/32..  packards is custom cut from the larger pipe thread style. ( at least most of the ones i have seen) then also uses a larger tube to go down to the venturi  some are drilled larger some are the stockish 70 tho? ..   changing the pj takes some checking to see what you actually have there.   other thing maybe to just send all 3 to packard and have him fix up the other and match the one dual pj alky style..   or do some measureing and see what you have in the internal part.

Yeah Donnie Call Dennis and send all that stuff to him. He will have it back to you in no time. Great guy to deal with.

There is no reason you just couldnt block off the one side of the dual pj or even just use the dual pj carb like it is.  You are gonna tune each of them slightly different anyway.

k+n webb site or any paper book has filters by size measurements and flange size.  sudco has listings for mikuni style 2 bolt flange's with the dia listed also.  just searchings lectron boot for 2-1 will probably get you nothing..
