Lowflyin Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) So I've been stashing money every week saving up for another banshee. Getting close to 2k so far. Now my question is, do I try to find a blown up banshee with decent pipes and suspension for the cheaps and rebuilt to a 4mil ss or cub ..... Or just save another 1500 or so and buy a built one? I ride trails and coal so I'm not looking for anything too crazy. Edited March 10, 2014 by Lowflyin Quote
Surfrjag Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Keep saving and looking, if one pops up like your describing then snag it. If it doesnt then you will have the money for an already built one. Quote
swhitey917 Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Really depends on what is available and if you don't mind tinkering around on them. Some prefer to find an already built bike and some prefer the rollers. I prefer to buy a cheap roller because no matter how nice a bike is there is always something I want to change (personal touch) so I would rather spend the cheap and build it how I want it instead of spending all my money on a nice bike that still has things I want to change but no extra funds left to do it. To each their own tho. Good luck in your hunt. Quote
Lowflyin Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 Eventually not much will be stock either route I take... The thing is I'm looking at probably driving to michigan or trevorton area to find a nice bike... Pittsburgh area quads, especially banshees are always beat and priced way too high.. Few examples.. http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/4357312290.html http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/sno/4317197114.html http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/sno/4338476464.html Quote

The second I would offer 4k with the hipers. The rest of the parts are there. A few trades an a couple sales and you can have a more then decent bike. All that's left is the motor. Which IMO is a great way to buy it. Quote
Starwriter Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Here you go. Offer this guy $3,000 and see what happens. Only 3 things wrong with it. Stock swingarm, stock airbox, and twist throttle. There is no way you could build this bike for $3,000. http://lansing.craigslist.org/sno/4367888556.html Quote
