Surfrjag
Peice of metal pipe and a hammer. Try and keep the bearing straight as it comes out.

willaduncan
pivot brgs or axle brgs in carrier? He said axle. Like surfrjag said a pipe and hammer maybe throw a little heat on the carrier and be patient, make sure they come out as straight as possible to avoid wollering out the hole. The first side is the hardest the second side is pretty damn easy use some 4x4s to hold it off the ground and to avoid damage to the carrier OR Take the carrier to the shop have them press out the old bearings and press in the new bearings Edited March 15, 2014 by willaduncan
draggins10
Quick question. Can I use general purpose grease in the carrier? Im in the middle of changing my bearings and don't feel like running to store for bearing grease
BANSHEE CHAOS
Depends on if you have enough faith in "general purpose" to keep the bearings lubricated. Not worth chancing it to me. I use either Lucas Red n Tacky or Amsoil.
