I think i read you post something similar on this topic. Have you had bad luck with them? A site i went to claims they are stronger than the steel bearings i believe. sheerider11
I usually go with the first set that pops up in eBay. 99% of the time it's all balls.
trickedcarbine
Thanks guys. So what are some good bearings to go with? My buddy has autoparts timken's in his, first time ive ever had to do this so im lost. That means he has the tapered carrier? Those are bad ass if they get installed right. Other wise the twin row from all balls or any other reputable source is fine. I would definitely not want a giant ceramic bearing for a carrier though. camatv
most of the "kits" just use budget china bearings. i believe there are a few "budget kits" with seals on easybay. or just call one of the sponsors for bearings. most times the kits singl row are in the 20 buck range and twin row in the 35-40 rangish. Coupelx
ceramic bearings are harder. hard does not necessarily mean strong. there was a way cool thread on a forum about them awhile back. they are used because of very low drag. less drag = more go fast. the consensus was the lifespan is shit though and very expensive. hughmyron
Not sure guys talked to several different ceramic bearing makers, apparently they are superior in each and every way. I ended up with the All balls kit for like $20 locally and they work great.
