87bansheepnw Posted February 17, 2014 Author Report Posted February 17, 2014 me? im up in washington near seattle, 250 feat above sea level Quote
uman1030 Posted February 17, 2014 Report Posted February 17, 2014 30 pilot 290-300 mains is my opinion at your altitude should be good all spring and fall and maybe a hair rich in the dead of summer but not enough to effect performance really. I would also add an adjustable timing plate @ +4, it made mine rev a hair faster and have just a tad better throttle response and a little more low end Quote

ATVridinMaNiAc Posted February 17, 2014 Report Posted February 17, 2014 I'll go ahead and say from experience the cfm box works very well easy to keep filters clean and easy to remove but it is supposedly not the best for power. I didnt notice a difference though. Might only be noticeable on big bikes. Quote

uman1030 Posted February 17, 2014 Report Posted February 17, 2014 yeah well anything is better than no box think more people run pods and no box than do. Quote
87bansheepnw Posted February 18, 2014 Author Report Posted February 18, 2014 kinda muddy here, pods isint to good for that lol but im having a new problem, first off i got the 27.5's in , air screw at 1.5 turns, 280 mains needle on 3rd notch, (it did not like 4th notch at all) i got the sync as close as i could by my eye, the idle screws are also all the way out for the time being, it starts super easy every time, and it will rev good a few times then once in awhile when i rev it , it wont rev back down it just stays there until i shut it off. then i will start it back up and its fine?? i already leak tested it also so im stumped here Quote
uman1030 Posted February 18, 2014 Report Posted February 18, 2014 thats what outerwears are for. Are the slides sticking? positive the throttle cable is routed well and not in a bind? when you manually sync them, there are windows on the sides of the carbs to do so at about 3/4 throttle. Quote

Are the slides sticking? positive the throttle cable is routed well and not in a bind? i dont think they are sticking, i shut it off then restart it and its normal, ill lightly scotch bright them just to be sure though, Quote
87bansheepnw Posted February 18, 2014 Author Report Posted February 18, 2014 yea im going to give it another go using the windows, ill check the cable also thanks Quote
sleeper06 Posted February 18, 2014 Report Posted February 18, 2014 Lean on pilot, possibly needle position, close the air screw off and see if it stops the idle hang Quote
87bansheepnw Posted February 18, 2014 Author Report Posted February 18, 2014 ill try that thanks Quote
ATVridinMaNiAc Posted February 18, 2014 Report Posted February 18, 2014 Hopefully your slide springs are OK also. I'd take my finger and push down on slides when it revs high. Could be hanging. Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk Quote
