cary724
How will the CPI's be for low and mid power? I ride with a lot of the 450 4 strokes, main reason to do the 4mil and port for me was to give me a little more power against them I know the new bikes handle better and are better suited to trails and MX than a Banshee. But I've always been a 2 stroke fan. I'm also a little crazier and aggressive when it comes to riding so that also gives me a little bit of an edge.

sycoticbanshee00
My ct racing 4mm stock cylinder made over 77rwhp and over 40rwtq. Stock carbs, sb shearers, 400 main, 30 pilot, pod filters, chariot reed cages, +6 timing, old 100 octane fuel at 32:1, majority of power is made from 7k-10.5k rpm. Engine isn't fully broken in, I'm thinking there is still more power to be made on a more aggressive tune and better fuel?
sycoticbanshee00
Yeah I kind of wish the power wasn't all instant around the 7k mark. Below that it's not really making power only like in the 30 hp range, but once 7k comes around it starts taking off like braaaaap.
RagunCajun
I went from t5s to cpi years ago. I wouldnt recommend cpi for trails. Keep the delivery low with t5's. Hjr can best answer your questions. Its his port work
RagunCajun
Yup, my cpi's definitely pulled more rpm and made power higher.
MLack
Alright All. My reviews after 4 weekends of riding..............ITS A FUKIN MONSTER!! 4stroke torque down-low and a hard hitting 2stroke power up-top. What more could you ask for??? Had to re-learn how to ride this quad. Give it a little too much throttle down low and you are staring at the sky. Once its in the pipe it just keeps on pulling and pulling.,......and pulling. I just need to figure out how to put the power to the ground... Re-valved and re-sprung rear shock with Kenda Kutter XCs ain't doing the trick. Overall I am very pleased with Kevin at HJR. Answered very question I had for him. His ballpark jetting suggestions were almost spot on. I couldn't be happier with this motor so far. And has much more in it if I upgrade my carbs and pipes. Currently running stock carbs and FMF pipes and still hauls the mail. Wouldn't hesitate at all to send another motor to him.
trickedcarbine
Being happy is all that matters. Hopefully all his new customers are just as satisfied.
Deadbeat
SLP pipes look good on paper for a serious woods bike, if your looking to upgrade later
MLack
Got any info on those pipes? I've read alot about their sled pipes but never on a shee. Doing some searching now and not finding much. This winter I'll be looking into bigger carbs and better pipes but don't want to sacrifice too much low end. Stock carbs and FMF Fattys now. Any recommendations on what size carbs and pipes for a serious woods bike?
Deadbeat
only seen this so far on those pipes, looking forward to seeing more http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=175499#entry1606021
