J-Madd
The guys running 4 mil on nos t is a good tuner. Has has his nos dailed in good. He gets me out of the whole and about to half track. Then my shitty 535 just pulls on him. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy note 3 Surely you can safely add 25 hp of NO2 to a 421, which would then give it more hp than your Cheetah? I'm not questioning that your motor runs great or that you beat the 421 on the spray. I think the reason a lot if us pick the Cub over a Cheetah is most of us have never seen a real good running Cheetah. I used to have what I thought was a good running 14 Mil Cheetah that was #1 qualifier in the 0-650 class at Gilbert 2 or 3 years in a row, several years ago. My 10 mil Cub has run those same times, albeit in a better chassis.
10milmike
I know cub as are fast. I have seen many fast cubs. All I am saying is you can make a cheetah run good if you do your homework on them. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy note
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Well an unported Cub on nitros should make more power than your motor without question. So your motor is running well (also without question) but if a Cub on nitros can't outrun you.....you give that guy too much credit. Your motor isn't winning the races....it's either your overall setup...or his. Obviously if your driving around someone who took you off the line....he's got issues. In competitive drag racing....passing isn't part of the game unless the other guy gives it away somehow.
10milmike
Passing is part of the game John. If he beat me off the light with his .019 reaction time and my .089 reaction time. He got me out of the whole. Yes it alot to do with tuning. And motor. If I have to much tire spin my 60 will suck. And now I am playing catch up. But if I have enough clutch slip I will pull a high 1.4 60 foot time. AND A BETTER e.t if u have enough hp u can motor pass the other person on the top end. WINDYCITYJOHN400
If you can drive around someone that left on you.......than THEY have down track issues.....or your not racing people that are competitive. NHRA Pro Stock cars are about as equally competitive as it gets and there ain't much passing. More often you see slow cars win on the holeshot! If you were racing in a competitive series, than you wouldn't be beating alky bikes and nitros bikes when you show up with a gas bike. If you can give up the holeshot and still run them down......then I will disagree with your assessment of your competitors talent. You have the talent to gear and clutch an underdog powerplant to a win. Or.....your competition has far too little talent at those same practices. Or it's a combo of both. Remember....not to long ago your motor was making only 97 Hp and you were talking about how well it ran. Now your making more. If you were winning with 97hp....than your competition is alot weaker than you think. Heck slowerthanyou posted his times with his 443 cub that turned out only made 97hp....but he has a hell of a clutch program and won with it. The point is....the motor ain't everthing. Your cheetah is working well....but it's not the reason for your success.
10milmike
Now were are comparing Pro Stock cars to Banshees. Lol ok. I know motor is not everything. Its a combo that works. It tires clutch, gearing jockey weight bike weight I get this. I have been spending alot of time this year seeing what works and what does not.
