Front brake guard thing with holes in it

Recommended Posts

Banshees come with these metal guards on the inside and outside of the front brakes.  They are made of thin metal and have holes all over them.  The inside one makes changing the brake pads a real pain.  The one on the outside can easily be removed by just pulling the wheel off then pulling it off.  The inside one looks like it's a little more difficult to get to, but shouldn't be too bad.

Do you run yours?  It looks like they are designed to keep sticks and stuff out of the brakes, but I don't care about that so I'm thinking I may remove them.  Any pros or cons of removing them other than the obvious (lighter and looks better)?

I'm talking about part 18/19 here

And Part 16 here

I run the inner ones, not the outer ones.... I do alot of trail riding though, and it does help keep shit off the brakes...
