No offence, but possibly growing up there may have desensitized you. I mean its one thing if your trying to sugar coat it cause you "grew up there" but you cant really believe its "not that bad"? I've lived in Michigan my whole life and I'm ashamed of Detroit, its a wasteland. I live 30 miles from Detroit and its another world compared to here. I am constantly defending Michigan because of Detroit as its all any one ever hears about. there's 100's of sites of Detroit "ruin porn". Once a great city with amazing architecture and history, now a cesspool of vagrants, abandoned buildings and one of the highest crime rates in the country. I worked in Detroit for one summer daily i was solicited prostitution, drugs and begged for money, And i mean DAILY. Several attempts at robbing me and the only reason I wasn't robbed was 2 of my workers were off duty police officers who had to pull their weapons. Had all my tools and equipment stolen with 20 people with in 30 feet and no one saw anything. I could go on and on about how bad detroit is.

Police wont even go into some areas period with out lots of backup. Hell a couple months ago they shut down a whole apartment building, arrested over 35 people and had 125 officers there.

It has a 50% illiteracy rate and a 75% drop out rate, that's insane! Over 20,000 homeless.

Of coarse this is the surrounding areas not right downtown, which is full of thriving businesses, restaurants, theaters and stadiums. Just don't wander too far or you'll most likely be mugged and or assaulted.

Detroit is a big city and with it comes allot of problems and inherently bad people. I'm in a hundred percent agreeing with you, there is begging drugs, and prostitution. But so is there in every other big city. I have basically lived in Chicago for the past four years and the crime and drugs and everything are just as bad. It is not a "detroit" thing, for the most part (sure some things may be bad but others better) it's just an big city thing sure some cities aren't as bad but to say it's a shit hole...come on have you been to the heart of the city lately, there is people down there they are actually trying, bit if people who have lived there or do only talk hate about the city, then in everybody's mind everywhere we will just always be a shit hole

Well......the only Superbowl that didn't sell out all it's seats by game day was the one held in Detroit.

That wasn't due to it being held in a big city......

That was location, location, location.

Even as far back as the original Robocop movie....the place was perceived as the nations shithole.

Detroit is a shit whole, but it really does give character. Some of the shit whole building are beautiful to look at like the old train station for instance. Heart plaza is cool. Greektown has some of the best food iv ever tasted (fishbones).

The heart of Detroit is where all the stadiums are. It's not where most of the murders and shooting happens it's nothing to worry about honestly. But you will have pop bottle Pete asking you for money on every corner.

The movie New jack city was based on a real Detroit street gang in the 80's "The Chambers Brothers"

Wich funny enough this gang basically put the "Best friends gang" which was founded in the 70's and revolved around herion sales and murder, out of bussiness wich have a documentery on gangland devoted to them. Even till today you can buy Tshirts that have their logo on them in small party stores and local shops as if they were heros or something.. talk about fucked up values..

Man part of me keeps wondering how many guys can get in the fabrication for banshees and still keep things profitable. But now that I think about it more competition makes for higher quality stuff and better service if guys wanna stay alive. As stated before, looking forward to seeing good things from you guys. I'm from michigan and hope to meet you guys in person one day.

Side note. Between the new house and medical shit I'm not getting time to do my hybrid chassis so I may be doing some things to the stock banshee chassis. Hell I might even be willing to pay someone to just finish the fabrication on my hybrid or current banshee chassis project. We'll be in touch.

Ahh, my first attempt at a frame build. Him and SlowMoe sat on my parts and asses for year.
