Uf21
I hope you got some good Penetration on your welds since you're new to mig welding.
JasonsBanshee
He’s using a great welder fully capable of making nice penetrating welds. I’d say he’s okay as long as he took the time to get used to adjusting the heat and wire speed on a few practice parts before he welded up the swinger. We all have to start somewhere. His welds look pretty good for a rookie and I’d say they penetrated nicely. I remember when I first started welding. I was so scared that I wouldn’t have penetrating welds. I started welding on a bagged/body dropped truck frame (frame and four link) with a 450hp motor so I HAD to make sure my welds were strong. I have tons of respect for someone that builds their own stuff rather than making someone else’s pockets fatter. From my observations, people take more time on their own stuff which makes for a better product in the end. I say, beat the crap out of the swinger and keep an eye on it. I’m sure it’ll be just fine. Uf21
I dont disagree with you its just the fact that hes new to mig. Though what jason said, beat the shit out of it and keep an eye on the welds.
