2strokenick
im currently building a 5 mill with stock cylinders ported and has a big bore 68mm sleeve there is a spacer kit in it so my question is what kind of base gaskets to i have to buy ? and where can i buy them p.s i had athena cylinders on the bike before same 68mm bore
2strokenick
i bought the bike already built as a 5mm i tore it apart and found out the previous builder didnt know what the fuck he was doing they didnt tighten up all the bolts to the head and cylinders and they told me to run 110 gas in it so it got so hot it messed the inside of my cylinders up so i traded my big bore athena cylinders for stock cylinders that been drag ported and has a 68mm sleeve in it. so i seen on ebay there selling 68mm athena gaskets but in the description it said THESE GASKETS WILL NOT WORK ON STOCK CYLINDERS so now im kinda lost what kinda gaskets do i use? Sandking
Send the cylinders out to be ported for your set up and ditch the spacer plate Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

2strokenick
ive already had a mechanic look at my bike its a 5mm long rod crank
Starwriter
Agreed!!!! Send it to a site sponsor. You have a mess of stuff that is never going to work unless you have a builder check it all out and get you set up. You could have long rods with short rod pistons. You could have porting thats all out of whack for whatever stroke crank you have. You could have head domes that will cause the motor to blow up, if it ever even runs. 2strokenick
ive had this bike for like a week now and when i rode it it was just fine it just has a lil hesitation it didnt want to open up so i took the motor apart and found out that the athena cylinders that i had on there had a air leek and didnt have the compresson to run 110 gas so it messed the cylinder up real bad so this is what i did i bought new cylinders that been drag ported for a 5mil this new cylinders i had came off of a 5mil bike so i know the set up i have is going to work i bought was long rod pistons because i have a long rod crank and i have a ported cylinder so i know that the ports are going to match up all my question was if i had to run a spacer plate still and i got intouch with kan power sports and told them the set up i had and he told me i would be fine to run what i have
2strokenick
athena cylinders are the same as stock cylinders the only difference is the bore and athena cylinders have a triple exhaust port stock ones dont i was running a 5mil with unported athena cylinder and the bike ran fine it was just due to the stupid previous owner that didnt tighten all the bolts up and caused it to have a air leek and caused it to loose compression and it didnt have enough compression to run race gas all im doing new is changeing the cylinders and pistons i dont see the big deal im still useing the athena head and domes with my stock cylinder

Sandking
What did you do to your bike before taking it apart?
2strokenick
i did nothing to it i took it apart because it was bogging like at half throttle but if u let off the gas and hit it again it would reach max power then come to find out the bolts wasn't tight and i didn't have the compression to run 110 race gass
