wayne_smith97 Posted July 3, 2015 Report Posted July 3, 2015 Love this gun! This is my first Springfield and I'm starting to wonder why I ever had glocks. Quote
RagunCajun Posted July 3, 2015 Report Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) I freakin hate the way glocks feel. But it doesn't have a safety and proven more reliable in general, so thats why I got some Edited July 3, 2015 by RagunCajun Quote

trickedcarbine Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 Ok, so my lady is finally on board with carrying as she is usually the one closing the pharmacy late at night. Even though it's in the nice town of Birmingham, the bank next door gets a robbery 1 or 2 times a year. IMO, it's only a matter of time till someone comes thinking they will hit a lick on the drugs. We have already settled on S&W's M&P Shield. Last thought is Caliber? .40 or 9mm? What are your fellas thoughts? She shot both and has no preference. I'm curious about availability, round quality, etc. Quote
mhoksch Posted July 22, 2015 Report Posted July 22, 2015 I think 40 is pointless. Try shooting both, the 40 will feel a lot harsher with such a short barrel. I carry a Ruger LC9s and absolutely love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
special06shee Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Love my shield 40. Actually shoots much smoother then my old lc9 did imo. Quote
mhoksch Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 Really? Did trigger have much to do with it? The lc9s is striker fired, it's a night and day difference over the old lc9. And even with 124grn +p rounds I prefer my 9 over a 40. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
special06shee Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 The trigger did suck balls, but i think the lc9's frame is just a little harder to grasp firmly/comfortable compared to the shield. At least for my hands. I did like the lc9 overall tho. Quote
Nieskes Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 I just got a lc9 a month ago, the more I shoot it the more Im not diggin it. It feels like your pulling the trigger for hours before it goes bang. Has anyone tryed the shorter pull trigger you can buy for it? Quote
mhoksch Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 The grip is one of the things that drew me to the lc9, but I do have the hands of a 12yr old girl. You should go to a gun store and compare triggers on the lc9 vs lc9s. It's like a completely different gun. And you can't beat the price @ $300. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
rubberneck Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 my advice is fuck the lc9 alltogether. go buy yourself a shield 9mm and be done. rugged reliable gun that will get the job done in a small package Quote
RagunCajun Posted July 23, 2015 Report Posted July 23, 2015 I love both my glock 27 and 23. Both in .40 of course. I could care less about the trigger and i refuse to modify the trigger or anything on the pistols. It just has to go bang when i pull it. I'm not trying to win sharp shooter matches with it. Quote
alcoholbanshee Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 I have a sheild 9 and a sheild 40. Both of mine have the safety. I carry the 9, and the 40 is a safe queen. I just shoot the 9 better, can get back on target quicker and it holds 1 more round. 1 Quote
rubberneck Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 With modern ammunition there is no reason to carry anything but 9mm. Corbon 115gr DPX is where its at Quote
