Banshee Chad
I run one of the tm design works ones. Seems to be pretty sturdy, 15 tooth is the biggest sprocket to run with it.
trickedcarbine
What are you going to use machine it? If you think you're going to do it with a sawzall and a dremel, you're in for a surprise.Metal band saws do a nice job on thick heavy plates of polymer materials. Pastrykiller
Delrin isnt cheap if you buy a large chunk of it with the intent to make numerous parts. A 1inch thick 12x12 sheet is approx $140.00 and you can get about 6 modquad style case savers from it. Modquad style is 7.5 inches tall and 3.5-4 inches wide. If you're creative, you can offset the pattern and get 2 savers for every 1/3 of the sheet. Cotton branch uses about a 8 inch tall 7 inch wide piece. Add up the cost of a sheet and labor and you're pretty much seeing why he charges over 100.00 for it. Prices are retail. And I'm on pain meds. Justintoxicated
Damn I run a billet one too. I only run a 4 il cub, should I still change it out? I saw the picture, but really, is there any guarantee that any case saver will save your case if you neglect your chain? jimmyneutron
B.b.p builders, on 02 Jan 2014 - 09:57 AM, said: I can kinda understand the price more now, that delrin material isn't cheap. Then you need to make the actual case saver. 100$ is still to much $ in my eyes. Let me know how that works out for you. If you can cut a nicer piece for less money, I'll be the first guy to buy one..
