sstaton1983
You should try the QUAD FLOW TORQUE WING. lmao. Alot of people cut up the stock cages for more cfm. Im not sure about real world hp increases and if it is 3-4 hp that's more then likely peak and not across the curve like vf4s. sstaton1983
i had my stock cages ported, but i would not cut out the middle. It is a needed brace to extend reed life. I agree i cut up mine and left the middle support. i couldn't tell much of a diff with my butt dyno, I ended up with v force.
trickedcarbine
^ harsh but funny. Op, there are definitely gains to be had by porting the reed cage and adding good petals
turbowrenchhead
I found that the v force reeds on my blaster didn't last very long. They would start chipping and cracking and a set of replacements were $60. I went back to stock reeds. So I opted to go stockers on my banshee because of the previous problems with v force. Well I've got some V-3's that are starting their 5th season. Debris might have been a factor with your Blaster reeds. Get some V-4's, go up a pilot size and enjoy having that 58HP Banshee brake into the 60's.
possum
I have vforce 2s and 3s on their 8th seasons. still look good. I always wondered how people go through them so fast.
turbowrenchhead
Who has the best deal on V4's? Is the next pilot size 32.5?
03DMshee
Not knocking VF3 cause I liked them a lot but I also went through a set of petals in a season...I have factory airbox with lid and foam filter...never understood it... trickedcarbine
Who has the best deal on V4's? Is the next pilot size 32.5?Gonna take a lot of motor to need 32.5's. The 30's will more then likely be what you need.
