tdod101
Hey guys, so I've been doing my research, I've even emailed a few sponsors, still don't know what direction to go. I got my cases with trans but I don't know if I should go with the 4 mil crank and stock ported cylinders or 4 mil crank with fresh unported serval cylinders. Like if I go with the serval what are the extras I'll need compared to just ported stock? Sincerely : confused
dirtydownunder
go 4mm with 4mm unported serval cylinders. then later if you want you can port the cylinders. only difference is, with the serval, you will need the stud extenders, 12pt nuts, coolant plugs and 68mm domes. modded trans would make it shift nicer. but you can get away with a stock one. tdod101
Okay but with the serval will I need bigger carbs ? Will they work with my T5 pipes ? That kinda why I'm leaning towards ported cylinders. That way I don't have to spend the extra cash on more shit.
tdod101
Hmmm, so CPI pipes "eventually" ?
dirtydownunder
stock carbs and t5's arnt the best for the serval, but they will be fine. untill you get better pipes n carbs. and id get pipes before carbs for the serval. you can sell your pipes then put that money towards better pipes later. you can sell your stock cylinders to put towards the serval cylinders. tdod101
All good ideas. What other odds and ends will I need with the serval though. And I'm assuming that with the 4 mil and serval cylinders it will become a
dirtydownunder
4mm serval is 421. a pingle and drilled gas cap isnt a bad idea. its about 1450$ for a serval kit with crank. or around 1100$ for a ported 4mm stock cylinder with crank. the serval can be ported for more gains tho. sell your stock cyinders for around 200 (maybe), then the 421 serval kit is about 1250. 150 more than your ported stock cylinder.
