southside
On higher powered drag/dune bikes with modded frames (lightened oem) who's eliminated the lower engine stay (two links under motor) and who's running them and results of each setup. Thanks in advance for the info
Finch
im not running them but really the more power you should have them keeps engine from twisting.
joshb
On a drag bike I'd definitely run them. Don't want that motor twisting. With them and the "washers" between the motor mounts it'll keep it tight with little to no movement.

Our 18DMs were twisting in the frames under a load. That's why I designed the motor support.
fappy'97
Our 18DMs were twisting in the frames under a load. That's why I designed the motor support. But what about big motors?
n2otoofast4u
Must run!
locogato11283
But what about big motors? You have to weld them to the frame or they will shoot out the side under load.

possum
Didnt know people left these mounts off. To each their own.
RadarRacing
I had problems big time without them. I broke a chain without them and had popping under a good load with rippers. If you have a hillshooter running 10 paddles you can get away with it but much more than that and you will be poppin the chain. I would run them. Finch
ive been lucky so far. but motor doesnt see much twisting in the trailer.
J-Madd
You can get by with running 1 on PTO side only on smaller motors.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
For what they weight……why eliminate them? That's putting WAY too much interest in lightening a machine.
J-Madd
I had a few chassis that didn't have mounts for them. I'm sure weight loss can best be found somewhere else.
