tdod101
Either you blew the crank or your flywheel flew off, happened to a friend of mine, took cover off and the flywheel spun right out

wayne_smith97
If you can't kick it over then pull the top end and go from there

Carter32ent
I was riding and saw smoke come up around top end and bank wheels locked then I tried to start it later then kicker wouldn't move. For cheap price I'd send the motor to someone to fix. I just want it stock
wayne_smith97
Are you mechanically inclined at all?
oldskool
Just start at the top. Pull the head off and take a look inside. You can't hurt it. Then pull the pipes, carbs and cylinders and see whats going on. You can post pics on here to help with any questions. If you are not comfortable with this, then you should probably find a builder. You can also download a service manual from this site.
Starwriter
I am going to disagree with some of the above posts. Do NOT just tear the topend off. I am curious where the smoke was actually escaping from. However, start here. Pull the pipes and look into the exhaust ports to see if you can see scuffed pistons. Also, on your other thread, you mentioned the clutch adjuster locknut was "missing". Where did it go? Any chance it got into the transmission or primary gears and locked it up? Now, if you determine that the topend needs to come off, DO A LEAKDOWN TEST FIRST. If you don't own a Clymer manual, BUY ONE. If you are too cheap to pay the Clymer people for their efforts in putting together copyrighted material, then sell the Banshee and buy a hackey sack and go hang out at the mall.
