Carter32ent
I have to keep taking the clutch cover off and adjust the clutch screw. Once I fill up with oil and start it up the clutch lever loses tension again. Please help

sheerider11
Are you not tightening the jam nut down on it? Like are you just screwing in the screw and thinking that's all you need to do?
sheerider11
You need to set the screw up where you need it, then hold that in place. Now take a wrench( 10 or 12mm) and tighten that nut down. While holding the screw
Carter32ent
The nut I see on the adjustment screw doesn't poke out enough to get a wrench around it or is it supposed to be a nut on the outside of the clutch plate also

sheerider11
This isn't exactly a banshee but the quickest I cod find on google. I haven't seen a stock adjuster in a while, but I'm thinking they should have a set nut in the back that should line up in the pressure plate. That should be flush with the plate. Then on the front side an adjuster and a lock nut. I think that's how it goes. Before you go on check that. So pull the pp off and see if your lined up. Some one correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's almost right

Larry's Shee
Wouldn't hurt to clean the screw and nut and use some loctite on it.
