atcandbanshees
I have two swingarms that I'm wondering why they are built the way they are. First one I got a while ago it's a +8 arch ladder bar has a banshee front pivot but the chain slider and rear housing are yfz I think. A yfz carrier fits in a banshee one is to small. Also when it's on a stock frame the measurement for a no link shock would be like 11 inches and a linkage w
atcandbanshees
Accidentally sent that early but a linkage won't work either. Second swingarm is also a + 8 arched ladder bar it' was on a sand dragon chassis and had a no link stock shock setup. When it's on a stock chassis it won't work either are both these swingarms for aftermarket chassis setups only? I guess u could run a strut but I don't drag only. do I have to move my shock location on the frame like some chassis have done to run these arms? atcandbanshees
That's a homemade strut I found in my shop the shock would be 10.5 inches long to be at stock ride height
possum
To try and answer you're question, it doesnt look like a banshee arm. The shock location looks to be 3-4" closer the the pivot tube then it should be. unless it was intended to improve the angle. But in turn needing a shorter strut or marvin. I wouldnt have done it that way. Also the front pivot dont look offset like a banshee is suppossed to be. And i really cant see the chrome one good enough. Also take some measurements. Just so you know a stock location is 12-1/4" from hooking the tape in front of the pivot tube to center of shock mount hole. To be able to run a link. possum
well that frame obviously has the shock moved up and back like many do. A link wont work on that arm. pretty easy to see.
locogato11283
Looks just like a hillshooter chassis setup. No link needed.
atcandbanshees
I know no matter what it would be a no link setup. So I guess it is setup for aftermarket chassis only for no link shocks or a strut for stock or aftermarket chassis on the chrome swingarm. What the hell is the other swingarm then it accepts all yfz 450 rear stuff but yfz swingarms are different in the front than this one. Maybe yfz banshee hybrid arm ? possum
its not always aftermarket chassis. People make a loop and move the top rear shock mount up and back for a better angle. modified stock chassis
atcandbanshees
Got the bike off Craigslist I've been told by a couple people it looks like a sand dragon chassis
