Screamin_Banshee
Im not sure what the straight cut gears are, I think Banshee370 can explain... As for the ovveride, does one main thing. It allows clutchless shifting at WOT. When drag racing it will do two things: 1. Usually makes your ET's lower do to the split second lost when the clutch is pulled 2: Also makes the bike much more consistant because it shifts at the same speed most of the time ( the fingers cant always pull the clutch at the same speed). banshee370
Dragg-on: The only thing I know about "straight cut" gear is the drive gear on the clutch basket. You can run the normal Helical (comes standard on the banshee) Or I believe Hinson has a straight cut gear. It takes the side load off the main bearing and less hp loss. Now if you want your banshee to shift 100 times better but still be able to trail ride it... then you want to cut the dogs and bridges on the gears. Once you cut your tranny for an over ride then its basicly for drag racing only.
Dragg-on
thanks for the replys!, I found that straight cut gears are costy, about 350 for a pair of gears, similar to your chain sprockets, but cost 10x as much.
shift350
i gained about 4 tenths of a second after i got my override which is a ton when you're drag racing and it's a lot more consistent too as Screamin_Banshee said
