Glenyboy
I want to relocate my parking brake so I can run asv shorty levers. I came across this while trying to find an alternative parking brake. My banshee needs one to be classed as road legal, otherwise I would remove it. I though I could shorten the cable and mount this somewhere out of the way. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003178YZC/ref=aw_d_dsc_automotive

rjdgriff
Hmm can't say I have ever seen that. Seems pretty decent for a park break tho
Glenyboy
It comes with a bracket that goes around the bars, I could clamp it to the frame under the seat with my hide a key.
Starwriter
I'm thinking you just get a cheesy little flat bracket. For $10, I can't imagine you get the whole lever setup. Here's a better link to it. https://www.denniskirk.com/573343.sku?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse&gclid=CImXmO2oobsCFdJcfgodhm4AbA Could always contact Powermadd and ask them. http://www.powermadd.com/contactus.html
Glenyboy
I was just about to report back, I found one on ebay. It lists just: bracket, screws & locknuts So no lever is included, so what lever and bracket is shown in the picture? I may have to contact them and ask as I want a seperate unit like the one shown. locogato11283
Why in the fuck do you need a parking brake? That should be the first thing to go on any banchee.
Glenyboy
Because a quad is classed as a car, so when they're road legal they need all the features of one. Horn, turn signals, mirrors etc.

trickedcarbine
^ people just forget that banshees are road legal in other places. Glen, if you need one that you can hide, I think that could be pretty neat under the seat. As long as it's required you might as well make it a slick set up. camatv
try a yfz or 700 rappy park brake setup.
Starwriter
How about a padlock through the rear brake disc? They do make a lock specifically for going through the brake disc on motorcycles.
fappy'97
I had one on my old bike. It works well. Just a little piece of aluminum.
Glenyboy
I have a disc lock but there has to be a manual one permanently attached like a car, the silly thing is it's required to have a lock aswell. Thanks for the heads up on the raptor/ yfz lever cam, that lever will be ideal as it comes away from the main unit. I'll try and get one and mount it elsewhere out if the way. Anybody got one laying around they don't need?
