foxrider603
So im having some issues. It seems im having a mid throttle bog once it hits powerband its good not sure on what i should be doing new to jetting. My shee is completely stock other then fmf exhaust. Im running 270 mains with 27.5 pilot needle on 2nd clip on bottom and a little more then 2 an a half turns out on my air/fuel screw. Im 500ft above sea level and the temps range from 40 degrees and lower
Phelps
it's freezing outside! jet it up!
uman1030
have you tried turning the air screws in to 2 or 1.5. when you say stock do you also mean air box? or you running open airbox with lid off or pods etc?
foxrider603
My air box has not been modified. Im running a foam filter
Larry's Shee
If 270 was summer jetting you need to jet richer for cold air . One size for every 20* colder, on main. Cleaned carbs lately? No bean oil below 40*
foxrider603
So should i try a 300 main? And what do you mean bean oil?
O/CbansheeRider
280 is one up from 270. Bean oil is a premix oil that separates from fuel at low temps. Spelled benol I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
uman1030
with just pipes and no airbox mod 270 should be fine. his issue wasnt at wot from what i read so main size shouldnt be a factor in his issue. just my opinion anyways. try the air screws, maybe richen needle if it persists? is it a bog or falling off totally could be too rich on needle also. Not to say that the main shouldnt be increased but it doesnt sound like thats whats causing the issue at hand. I ran a similar stocker with 280main 30 pilot only pipes and needle was best at stock position still even at 10-20ish deg. at 1.5 on air/fuel screws
foxrider603
Thats what u was thinking to so i droped the needle to tje second notch on bottom and took the air fuel screw alittle past 2and a half out. Should i set it to one and half /2 turns out?

uman1030
edited above post. have you just tried setting air fuel screws by ear? making sure they are the same but listening to the engine to achieve the right setting?
uman1030
lowering clip richens (raises needle), raising clip leans. (lowers needle) check out the image link http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.250ninja.net/pics/jet_needle.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.250ninja.net/articles/ninja_250_jetting.html&h=431&w=342&sz=17&tbnid=Cb7KAaoVn3n30M:&tbnh=90&tbnw=71&zoom=1&usg=__MsQcrQ2hH_EiXCiLakStI4Tann0=&docid=ZosKs-JyHJqT0M&sa=X&ei=gJqkUrewL4SHygHiwICwAQ&ved=0CEYQ9QEwBA
uman1030
the less turns on airscrew the richer it is. further out the leaner it is.
