xslice
I have searched the common suspects on line and all show but none seem to list the "inner cap" that fits under the outer cap of the throttle valve assy. Purchased a used 2002 and found that flat alignment tab that fits along side the flat spot on top of the carb is broken off. It is part #7 on pg.191 of Clymers. Any help on locating one would be greatly appreciated.
Starwriter
Are you talking about part of the TORS box? Spend the time and money to get rid of that crap. Do a TORS delete with carb tops, cable, and idle speed screws.

Do a TORS delete with carb tops, cable, and idle speed screws. That is what I am doing- getting rid of the TORS. Don't I still need that inner plate on top of the spring with the flat tab that slides down along the flat portion of the carb throttle valve housing or does that part go away with the TORS deletion? Thanks for the reply.
