chevota84
Its hard to beat pwk's for availability and price. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
WINDYCITYJOHN400
PWK's are definitely easier to make adjustments to. But Mikuni's can be swapped from Gas to Alky and back without issue. Once the PWK's get set up for Alky, that's pretty much it. Cameron likes the PWK's and if you stick with them he can probably advise you on jetting your 7 mill. dajogejr
Keihins can be switched back. Ive done it. Yes, but not as easy as Mikuni. Lectrons FTW.
SOUTHTHIRTY
Keihins can be switched back. Ive done it. Did u have to press a new throttle needle passage into the carb ?
dajogejr
Did u have to press a new throttle needle passage into the carb ? Short of actually machining a "tube" or "Sleeve" that's the only way it can be done. PWKs have that tube pressed in. I've also heard of others doing the same...but, for the price of PWKs, it's easier, IMO...to buy another set. That being said, also...there's not many out there going from gas to alky and back to gas. A while ago, if you had a PWK drilled for alky, people just considered them done. With some work, you can replace them. In my own opinion, though....because of how cheap you can buy used carbs, it's not worth it.
locogato11283
I'm running alky next year in the sand. I bought another set of carbs for it. Carbs aren't that expensive.
