My funds are tight and I'm only gonna trail n dirt road ride the bike so I figured these pipes would be ok, the price was right. There is no way Toomey could have known Yamaha's plans to put a frame tube in that spot. Sell them to someone with a J arm bike. Now you know why the price was right. Starwriter Posted December 5, 2013 Report Share Posted December 5, 2013 If it means the difference between riding and not riding, and it's only a little bit of interference, take a ball peen hammer and pound a dent in the pipes. If it's only a 1/2" deep dent the size of a silver dollar, you're not going to feel a difference in performance. Just make sure you put the dent in the right spot.
