Whenever i try to use the rear brakes on a loose soil downhill the rear just locks up and goes crazy,i just use compression braking. The only time i use back brakes on downhills is when i have to almost stop. The only other 2 times i have found them useful is on emergency stops,and then when trying to loosen the axle nut lol! They cause more trouble than help. I find that I only use the rear brakes when dropping in on steep hills to leep the bike in line, or when staging at the dragstrip. Other than that I have almost no need for them. Years of riding BMX/FREESTYLE just trained me to grab the levers to stop. In a panic stop, I end up grabbing all front and clutch. I wonder why i never saw or met you? We ride religiously at the burn, mile hill, and all of the other areas around. My buddies and i cut just about every hill in over at the burn and windy. The burn is about 4-500ft long. Mile hill is 800ft or so...The last one we cut in on windy point was 1100ft long. I cant remember the exact footage of all the hills, id have to check to be certain. I might have met you/rode with you before unknown....im good buddys with shustack and his buds...scottie...and real good buddys with don on the KTM bike...im sure we have sat at the same coal hills together....
