so iam @ max bore for stock cylinders, so my real question is next it would be either resleeve ot buy new jugs. these things dont particulay interest me as much as going to big bore kit or getting into something cooler like some of things ppl on here are running like 421 sevrals or the cubs and so forthe. what i am lacking is the knowledge of these upgrades. if someone could school me on these like what mods are required and roughly what the cost would be to do i would apprecate it. on not just what i mentioned above but if youve done it to yours let me know, i have no idea what im going to end up shooting for just looking for ideas and price tags per hp and fun u could say. i dont drag bascilly all trail riding lil hill climbs. thanks

if the bottom end is solid  look for just a replacement cyl like a serval.  other than that  depends on what your whole motor package consists of.  of course  just getting another set of nice low bore stock cylinders and boring, re piston is the lowest cost solution.  any aftermarket cyl is going to need a lot to get it to live  and run well.

i considered this route too....

is it worth big bore sleeving your drag ported 66mm cylinders???

what would you gain hp wise compared to cost of reporting and all that?? not to mention new 68mm pistons and domes

you would really have to be in love with your port work wouldnt you??

you got nothing to loose then...lol

just depends on what you prefer...

i was just asking if any one else would know what the trade off would be hp vs cash.... to big bore sleeve a 66mm drag cylinder to a 68mm what would the gains be vs cash???

what type of riding are you wanting your motor for kedge82???

If you want reliability you should do a 4mil serval. I had a FAST 4mil serval for a cpl years myself and it was great in the trails and hill climbs in the drags it would run with 4mil dune port stock cyl just fine and my serval only had a clean up port. It had power ALL over the low end. A 421 cub is basically a drag ported serval and is geared more for drag racing. If you were to do a 421 serval you would get about 70-75hp out of it with a clean up port. I had mine with rocket pipes, +4 timing, cool head with 24cc domes, 35 pwks, vf3 reeds and upgraded clutch. It ran amazingly well, never had a problem, and I got about 800 hours on it. I spent aprox $2500 on all of that and never regretted it. Jeff at fast did an amazing job for me. Now i am just about done with a 10mil serval from redline but that is another story. But you will also want to consider front and rear suspension (a-arms, swing arm, and shocks) and upgrade all of that at the same time, it is well worth the $$$. After all of that is said and done you need to be ready to spend $3500-$4000 I would estimate. But the nice thing about it is that once you do all of that you are set up pretty decent if you ever want to do a 10mil build. Also I would do a dual pingle for sure and you may consider a pro mod tranny, shift shaft and star mods and possibly a lock up clutch. I did not do the tranny, shaft, star or lock up with mine but it is a good idea to do if you ever want to go bigger or port the serval any. Hope this helps man

with no porting done at max bore  sell them on ebay for 20 bucks and buy another set of stockers at like 64.5 or less.   ride on..  i'm guessing that with no cyl work your motor is very close to stock internals anyways..
