sprinklerman
I thought I'd post a couple pictures of the Chariot Stator cover with outboard bearing support installed in conjunction with the engine brace/stay thst Loco designed. They work well together and we won't run without them. It virtually eliminates and deflection (you'd be surprised how much you have when making power) and thereby throwing chains. They mount to stock frames easily but this custom frame has the motor moved forward 4" so I had to make a bracket. The Chariot covers are VERY strong and precise,so they work well together. HIGHLY recommend both products.

RagunCajun
Id like to do the one with the stock mounting location. That way i wouldnt have to weld and repower coat the frame. Can redline mod the cover for this so it's bolt on and go?

locogato11283
Yep, it's all bolt on and go. There's no frame mods necessary.

n2otoofast4u
Sprinkler on your drag frame you essentially added a gusset between the two tubes. Is there a similar gusset on the other side?

sprinklerman
Sprinkler on your drag frame you essentially added a gusset between the two tubes. Is there a similar gusset on the other side? Its actually pretty trick how I did it I think. I machined a delrin bushing that was stepped so it centered into the new bracket and the engine stay bolt hole..while also fitting into the circular notch that's machined into the engine stay. That way the stay itself is providing the support and not just the bolt. All the bolt does is keep it pinched.
trickedcarbine
So chariot makes this as a production unit then?
locogato11283
So chariot makes this as a production unit then? No. JDS makes the motor support.
87sheerips
very nice, yea its a solid design by our buddy Loco. I do make the supports, about a two week turnaround and they are pretty salty. But it is a one and done piece that adds a lot of insurance.
