sidewayz
I've got a couple questions about extended arms..... In general, where is the shock mount location on the arm? Is it moved out also? Is it the same distance to the stock arm? Just would like to know before I build some.
ph2smoke
If your not using a long travel shock then it should mount in the same spot the stock shock mounts. This will keep your ride height correct. The extra 3 inches will make it a bit softer up front due to the extra leverage though. Nothing you can do about this. Take a look at our a-arms we make for the Banshee. It will get you an idea for shock mounting. You can see the difference between standard travel and long travel. The long travel moves the shock mounting point a couple inches further out. This allows a longer shock to be used. http://teamalbaracing.com/i-13567307-honda-trx-450r-adjustable-long-travel-a-arm-honda-trx-450r.html
