NineThreeShee
First off, I'm new here so I'd like to say hello. Now, on to the topic at hand. I just got a 93 banshee that has been collected since 93 and barely rode. It had new pro x pistons put in not long ago, just to freshen it up. Other than that and the tors removal kit, its stock. What pipes would be best for me? I want something that yields a high hp increase on a stock motor, and for a reasonable price. How do the.. say, fmf fatty pipes compare to the toomeys? I can get a set of fatties with silencers for 130 or toomeys and silencers for 240 (ish). Which would be more wise? Is the difference between the two worth the extra 100 bucks or..? I rode my friends stock shee with toomeys and its noticeably harder hitting than stock.
NineThreeShee
I forgot to mention, I do a lot of woods riding on open trails so I don't need an enormous high end gain, mostly low-mid needs some pepping up. Thanks.

Pasi S.
I´m not a 100% sure, but Fatties and T5´s are close in power and rpm range. T6 may be the best for you, if you are not porting your cylinders in a near future. You can get your stock head milled for a little more compression and you can mod your stock timing plate to advance your timing few degrees. You can also open up your stock reed cages if you have a Dremel. Better air filter makes a difference too. Remember to check your jetting after mods. Next guy will ask how much money you are willing to loose.

NineThreeShee
I'm not trying to spend anymore than like 250 bucks on some pipes. I'm in college and lets just say..I don't have an over abundance of cash by any means (lol),I just want some more power and the best bang for my buck. I'm sure some of you can relate. So I'm thinking of getting the 100something dollar fatties I've found in good condition at the moment, they seem to be good and for the price, they'll do. I wish I could afford some t6s, sigh, the struggle.
Tech AS
Fmfs are probably the best budget pipes. I've had good experiences with them. If u can't afford t6s then some fatties r a good choice.

If not, keep your pipes.
rjdgriff
Gotta start somewhere. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 very true but with $250 to spend I would get port work done
Glenyboy
Port work with stock pipes?
Strm Trpr
Find a pro-design air intake w/K&N and Outerwear and get that stock filter set-up out of there. Get an adjustable timing plate or mod the stock one and advance the timing to +4*. You are going to need larger main jets w/the FMF pipes, and possibly 27.5 pilots too. That should easily be under your $250 budget with an excellent bump up in power.
sleeper06
T-6 are terrible stay away,t-5 best all around pipe and respond well to porting and mods
NineThreeShee
Well, 250 isn't my budget, I just don't wanna spend anymore than that on the pipes themselves, that way I can get a new filter and rejet, along with some new tires. It has the original tires from 93 on it and they have 20% tread or so. All together I have about 400 or so to spend at this point. Come tax time though, ill deck this thing out.
