JCSO605 Posted October 20, 2013 Report Share Posted October 20, 2013 I know this has been asked a million times but what is the compression cutoff between needing to run 110 gas and needing to run alky? I just bought this motor off buckeyeshee21 who was a major help and an awesome seller. The bike went from being at 1000ft above sea level to between 300 to 800ft. trickedcarbine Posted October 20, 2013 Report Share Posted October 20, 2013 Is it a dune motor where you end up wide open for some time or a drag motor for sand or even 1/8-1/4 mile? If it's dirt or sand drags, just fuel it accordingly. Maybe if you are running long asphalt I would swap domes so the motor isn't fighting it self up top and still has some over rev. But if you wide open dune the thing, I would swap domes as well more for a reliability factor. Also I would consider alky specific domes if that if your fuel of choice.
