Have you ever took off to do a hole shot and bang a gear only to have it neutral rev then clunk and go? That is the meshing surfaces bouncing off each other. Again it's really just part of a total package. You can have a non over ride tranny but still reap many of its benefits. It takes a bit of work but it is worth it.
